On June 30th 2006, Feedtank installed a 30 foot interactive floor projection for the Billyburg Short Film Festival at McCarren Park Pool in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The BSFF was a competitive film and video festival founded on the principle of expanding the independent film market and showcasing talented filmmakers, artists and musicians to an audience of peers and industry leaders.
The projection was installed at the entrance so visitors would interact with the piece upon entering the festival. The projector was mounted over 40 feet high, which created an image large enough for multiple people to interact simultaneously. Its scale allowed for a broad range of interactions between participants.
The festival, which at the time was the second public event at the McCarren Park Pool, is now called RIATSfest, which was last held at the 3rd Ward in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
